I have been a huge Al fan since I first saw him in 1977 at the Roxy opening for George Benson. He got a standing ovation and we were so excited that we left right after and didnt stay to see George. I immediately went and bought his album and have been following him ever since. I think there may be just a few years that I have missed not seeing him in concert. But one particular year, 1980 - being a diehard AJ fan - even though I was 9 months pregnant and due any minute - I still was not going to miss his concert. Needless to say shortly after the concert was over, I went into labor and that next morning at 5am - Aricca Janae (initals AJ) was born.
So needless to say, I was super excited to see him at this beautiful venue at the Russian River in No. Ca. especially excited to get such great shots.
