Ashti Meets Birdman Al is now an App

Carmen Rubin, Al’s friend, has released an iPad version of her children’s book “Ashti Meets Birdman Al.” The app is a wonderful adaptation of the story that Al has read to school kids over the years as part of his efforts to support literacy and encourage kids to learn to love to read. Double Face on the USA Jazz Chart

“Double Face”, the song that Al recorded with Deodato last year, has reached #2 on Media Guide’s USA Jazz Chart this week. The song has been rising steadily since it’s debut on the list 22 weeks ago. It’s getting great airplay in the USA right now, and it’s available for purchase at iTunes as a single or on Deodato’s new album, “The Crossing”
